The perplexing Language of the Dreaming Mind
What would it be like to capture a dream; To inscribe in rational terms the confused language of the subconscious? A dialect both clear and perplexing, sensible and ridiculous, this picture is, to me, an attempt to depict the stuff of dreams. It is filled with the everyday, twisted into newer more unrecognizable forms. It causes them to simultaneously lose all meaning, and requires newer, more elementary words. Words which serve to untangle the inexpressible, and render it reasonable to the mind of the dreamer.
Though I am without hope I wonder, can the waking mind ever hope to comprehend the older, more primal utterances of the unconscious mind? Or will we only ever scratch the surface of that language, and leave its more enigmatic articulations to the realm of fancy and speculation?
